Trout Creek is a small unincorporated community on M-28, approximately 11 miles (18 km) east of Bruce Crossing and about five miles west of Kenton. The nearby Trout Creek is a tributary of the Ontonagon River. This was a station on the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railway (now the Soo Line). Trout Creek is the birthplace of baseball player Dick Pole. Pole is a former pitcher for Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners and is currently the bench coach for the Chicago Cubs..

Agate Falls, Middle Branch of Ontonagon River, 4 miles West of Trout Creek. As part of the massive Ontonagon River, the Agate Falls cascades nearly 80 feet over a series of shelves creating a beautiful vision, which can be easily viewed from the platform located along the falls.
