Trout Creek is a small unincorporated community on M-28, approximately 11 miles (18 km) east of Bruce Crossing and about five miles west of Kenton. The nearby Trout Creek is a tributary of the Ontonagon River. This was a station on the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railway (now the Soo Line). Trout Creek is the birthplace of baseball player Dick Pole. Pole is a former pitcher for Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners and is currently the bench coach for the Chicago Cubs..
