Seney is located at the junction of M-28 and M-77 in Schoolcraft County.  Once a roaring lumber town with thousands of lumberjacks, the town and its citizens have provided the background and character for several novels.  Notably ‘The Blazed Trail’ by Steward White.  Seney is is a popular destination for fishermen, hunters, snowmobilers, and bird watchers
