Located in the heart of the Manistique Lakes area, Curtis is a popular destination for anglers. Excellent fishing is available on Big Manistique, North Manistique, South Manistique and Milakokia Lakes. Fish species include: Northern Pike, Small Mouth Bass, Lake Trout, Large Mouth Bass, Tiger Muskie, Walleye, Yellow Perch and pan fish. Curtis is an unincorporated community governed by Portage Township in Mackinac County. Named for State Senator William L.
