Caspian is the "caring city" located in charming and picturesque Iron County, Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Rich in Italian heritage Caspian was a bustling iron ore mining town where many immigrants settled back in the early 1900's. When iron ore mining operations ceased in the mid 1970's Caspian focused on the tourism and recreation type activities which draw people from all over the Midwest today. Presently, Caspian is home to the Iron County Museum, the Iron County multi purpose and hockey building, the Apple Blossom walking/bike trail, and the Spring Valley tubing and skiing hill. ORV and snow mobile trails weave through our fair city in all major directions and connect with all main trails which interconnect throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
